This highly unusual hand-wrapped necklace features a large rectangle of fossil walrus ivory. It is made into a necklace by an intricately-formed cage of gold wire. At the top a gold wire heart is set below a generous wire-formed bale for holding chain or cord.

The wire rectangular piece measures one inch high by one-half inch wide. Length from top of bale to base of pendant is one and three-quarters inches.
