Moroccan Ammonite Pendant, Sterling Setting, Amethyst Stone
Wear an ancient fossil pendant as a tribute to Mother Earth. The ammonites are an extinct group of marine mollusks. They are more closely related to living coleoids (such as the octopus and squid) than to living Nautilus species.
The ammonite name received its inspiration from the spiral shape of the fossilized shells, which somewhat resemble tightly coiled ram’s horns.
This unique fossil pendant is set in a plain sterling silver bezel, with a substantial bale at the top for a chain. A round, deep-purple amethyst is set at the top of the fossil pendant.
The pendant measures 1-1/4 inch from the top of the bale to the base of the piece. At its widest point, it measures 7/8 inch wide.
